We have snow!

It has been a very strange winter in Michigan, we have had very little snow, I kept thinking either its just going to be spring or we are going to get buried, and lets be honest we both know which one of those was actually bound to happen. And today it did!
I started this calender on January 1, 2011 and I am happy to say it's February 10, 2012 and I am still writing in it every day. There are not many things I have done for 1 year straight.
I am very thankful this happens to be one thing I have stuck with :)
There is 1 card for each day so every day I write on the same card I did last year. It has been really cool to see what I was doing exactly one year ago.
Last year at the beginning of February we had a TON of snow, We were snowed in for 2 days, everything was closed or canceled. It was crazy!
This was the storm last year. Our cars were buried!
Sometimes though I do not like to see what I did a year ago, because I just wish I was doing it again!
A year ago tomorrow I was on my way to Virginia to see Travis. This year tomorrow I will be working all day, and I don't get to see him until March. I miss him so much!!
I found the idea to make this from Under the Sycamore on Design sponge
Hope you are having a HAPPY weekend!

  1. You should send this post to Ashley Anne--she'd be proud.

  2. This is such a great idea!! I too am so so bad at sticking with things so I'm super impressed you kept this going :) hope you have a fantastic weekend.

  3. That's such a cool idea! I definitely feel the need to steal it from you. Or pin it.
    Or both.

  4. Hi, I just found your blog via Whatever the Circumstances.. & had to say hello - I'm a fellow Michigander & I remember the February blizzard all too well. :)Also, your perpetual calendar is inspiring - I was given one (in book form) for Christmas and I'm trying my dangdest to stay committed.

    Thanks for the inspiration! :)
